Job Duties:

Treats physical conditions and is accountable for the delivery of primary health care to patients.

Prescribe drugs for acute and chronic illnesses as well as physical therapy, occupational therapy and other rehabilitation treatments.

Counsel and educate patients and families on health behaviors, self-care skills and treatment options.

Communicate with the inter-professional team about the comprehensive care plan.

Formulate diagnoses based on examination and interpretation of test results; identify deviations from established norms and intervene or make appropriate referral.

Complete nursing assessments, develop and implement nursing care plans, and revise plans as appropriate.

Communicate with community referral sources to obtain information relating to patients.

Provide information to other care providers about the health care needs of persons being discharged.

Ensure quality assurance measures are met and maintained in programmatic areas.

Participate as a member for performance improvement initiatives as needs arise.

Assist in staff training, education and mentoring to improve quality care.

Assist in the education and precepting of students, collaborating with nursing leadership to identify and deliver ongoing educational programs.

Perform direct teaching or provide guidance to others in providing these services, ensuring that education and training content meets professional standards.

Perform other duties as assigned.
Requirements:

Master's degree from an accredited college of university in Nursing with two years' experience in professional nursing or related clinical experience and/or management experience

Current Registered Nurse License - state of Georgia

Advanced Practice Registered Nurse licensure - state of Georgia

Current negative TB
-
Hep-B vaccination
-
Current Healthcare Provider BLS CPR issued by the American Heart Association

Ability to pass GBI/FBI fingerprint background check and 7 panel pre-employment drug test

Knowledge of nursing and management theory and practice

Experience in psychiatric and/or developmental disabilities

Excellent verbal, written and interpersonal communication, prioritization, delegation, decision-making and time management skills

Up to $93,600/yr, depending on experience
